KRISHNA

It is a sheer bliss just to think about Krishna, to contemplate about Kanha, to ponder on Lalla. Krishna symbolizes celebration. The celebration of life.

Today, there is a reason to be joyous, to be celebrating because it is a day of Krishna' birth. People of India know it as Janmashthami - Janam Aatham. As per the Gujarati calendar, Krishna was born on 8th in the month of Shravan (shravan Mas) at the midnight.

Krishna is the eighth child of Devaki and Vashudev. However, he was brought up by Yashodhara and Nandaraj. That is why Krishna is known as Yashoda ka Lalla. Krishna is believed as one of the avataras as per hindu mythology. But, those who go on deep trancsdetal experience can feel Krishna at the moments. So, there is no question about whether he is a real figure or a mythological character.

Krishna is a flowering of a man. As a flowered rose gives fragrance, a common human being can give fragrance being a god. This proves that a man's flowering is to be a god or rather to possess godliness. Krishna possesses that charm. That's why we all are attracted towards Him. If he is present physically or not, still today people love, pray Krishna.

Krishna is a supreme being. He is a perfect human being. It is said that he is one of the best politicians. Krishna told the Bhagawat Gita to Arjuna on the battlefield of Mahabharata. And shown his supreme being to Arjuna with Divya Chakshu (third eye).

There are people who love Krishna's being differently. Some love a child Krishna; some love a young Krishna while others love a perfect political Krishna. But, above all, Krishna is just Krishna.
