Black (2005)

Black is an outstanding, superb and a classic movie. It is one of the gifts from Sanjay Leela Bhansali to the world cinema especially to Bollywood. Let me exaggerate by comparing other bollywood movies to this masterpiece. You can take all the Hindi movies on one side and on the other Black. Even the weight would be absolutely on the side of Black.

Sanjay sir has truly shown his talent, his mastery as he applied the acting measurements to each and every character of the movie. Kudos to all the crew members especially to Ayesha, Mr. Millennium Mega star – Amitabh Bachchan (Debraj Sahai), Rani Mukherji (Michelle McNally) and to Sanjay. How can I forget Mychael Danna for the music effect?

When you see the movie you come to know that this is all happening in front of you. You are not watching movie in theaters. This is a story of a student and a teacher. A challenged student and Alzheimer sick teacher chemistry worked perfectly well over the entire movie arena. Even I have seen those entering cinema halls who never visited the corridor of the multiplex. Thanks to Sanjay! He poured his heart in ‘Black’. Sanjay said in one of the interviews “Black is a colour of power”.

Black is a must watch movie. It justifies what acting is, what does production mean and how can a perfect blend of masterpiece can come into existence? So what for you are still waiting if you have not yet seen? One of the strongest matters of the movie is its plot and theme.

This is one of the movies you must watch at any cost.
